Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lahore, Islamabad Campus will provide a sound foundation in science, computational skills and mathematics to solve engineering problems in areas such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, applied mechanics, design, manufacturing systems, engineering management and economics.

The curriculum includes analytical tools, creative thought, communication skills and their application in engineering for lifelong learning and a successful career in solving the engineering problems of the real world for successful career and life long learning.

Experienced and subject specialist staff provide quality educational materials and prepare the student to achieve the following objectives in the Mechanical Engineering Programme.

  • An ability to use techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practices.
  • An ability to communicate effectively and an understanding of engineering solutions in a global and social contexte instilled in students by utilizing state of the art lab equipment to learn the engineering profession and utilize it in the development of the society.
